Name
Raising the Bar and Passing It Through Data-Informed Decision Making
Description

A California law school on probation due to low Bar passage rates was considering raising LSAT score admission criteria, with hopes of admitting students more likely to pass the Bar. Results showed (a) correlations between numerous academic variables and Bar passage, (b) as final grades increased for specific courses, so did the likelihood of Bar passage, and (c) no clear LSAT score cutoff to distinguish students who passed the Bar from those who did not.
