Pamela Ong is the Director of Data and Research at the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities (AICCU), where she leads data collection, analysis, and reporting to support statewide and federal policy and advocacy efforts. Her work centers on using data to generate actionable insights that elevate the collective contributions of California’s independent, nonprofit institutions and inform policy conversations that affect students and campuses.

With experience spanning institutional operations and sector-level work, Pamela brings a policy-forward, data-informed lens shaped by her background in institutional research, financial aid, and planning. This foundation gives her a practical understanding of how reporting requirements, accountability frameworks, and public policy decisions shape institutional strategy and student outcomes.

Pamela currently serves on the California Association for Institutional Research (CAIR) Board of Directors and the National Association for Independent Colleges and Universities State Executives State National Information Network (SNIN) Advisory Committee. She holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of California, Davis, and an M.A. in Experimental Psychology from San José State University.
