Meghan A. Sweeney (Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Writing) has served as chair of the program review committee in 2018 and 2025, and vice chair in 2024.  She is a Professor and Director of Writing Studies at Saint Mary's College of California, where she studies postsecondary literacies and writing program administration. Her work has been published or is forthcoming in Research in the Teaching of English, College Composition and Communication, Teaching English in the Two-Year College, Journal of General Education, Journal of Basic Writing, Writing Program Administration, and more. This scholarship explores assessment, directed self placement, and data justice. Currently, she is working on an inter-institutional collaborative project on community college faculty and student success impacts of AB705.
