Dr. Tamara Phelan PT, Ed. D is a Professor at University of the Pacific. Dr. Phelan  graduated from Tennessee State University with a BS in Physical Therapy in 1993 and practiced as a full time clinician for 8 years before becoming a full time faculty member at University of the Pacific in 2001.  She completed a residency and fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Therapy and is a fellow in the American Academicy of Orhopedic Manual Physical Therapists.  Dr. Phelan graduated with an Ed.D from University of the Pacific in 2008 and served as the University's Assistant Vice Provost for Educational Effectiveness from 2016 to 2019 and the Chair of the Physical Therapy Department from 2020 to 2024.  Dr. Phelan is currently a full time faculty member teaching Orthopedics and Clinical Kinesiology in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.
