Dr. Randall De Witt (Randy) is the founding Director of West Coast University’s Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), where he champions faculty success through comprehensive professional development. A seasoned higher education leader, media designer, and consultant, Randy orchestrates impactful workshops, courses, coaching sessions, and conferences that enhance instructional quality and innovation across diverse learning environments.
With a career spanning the U.S. and abroad, Randy has guided institutions in crafting forward-thinking academic programs, integrating multimedia technologies, AI, and immersive learning experiences. He introduced the Metaverse as an immersive learning platform at West Coast University and presented on its potential at the XR Southern Summit, Cedar City, Utah, and OLC Accellerate, Orlando, Florida.
Prior to his current role, Randy held key positions including District Curriculum Supervisor for Miami-Dade County Public Schools, School Director at Miami Dade College, and National Assistant Dean at DeVry University, where he led the Creative Design Incubator, developing interactive media projects, nationally recognized MOOCs, and digital kiosks that provided students with valuable real-world experience.
Internationally, Randy has consulted on film, culture, and education for Dr. Leonel Fernández, President of the Dominican Republic, and pioneered career education schools in the country’s free trade zone. He has also taught emerging technologies to educators, legal professionals, and policymakers in the Bahamas.
