Dr. Ashim Malhotra serves as the Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation at California Northstate University (CNU), where he also holds faculty rank as a Professor of Pharmacology and serves as Senior Founding Director of the Institute for Teaching and Learning Excellence (ITLE). He leads institutional strategy across accreditation, assessment, faculty development, data analytics, and strategic planning, advancing innovation through AI-enabled systems integration.
Under his leadership, CNU achieved full WSCUC accreditation and developed the university-wide Assessment and Accreditation Readiness Platform (AARP), an equity-focused, multimodal ecosystem connecting academic, operational, governance, sentiment, and climate data. A Fellow of the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (FAAPE), Dr. Malhotra is recognized nationally and internationally for his scholarship in faculty development, assessment systems architecture, global partnerships, interprofessional education, and the responsible use of AI in higher education.
