Dr. Alvin Cheung serves as the founder, founding President, and Chief Executive Officer of California Northstate University (CNU), leading six health professions colleges across medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, psychology, health sciences (nursing), and graduate studies (MS, MHA, PhD). Under his leadership, CNU achieved continuous full WSCUC accreditation, forged academic and clinical partnerships, and expanded its mission to advance the science and art of healthcare through education, service, research, personal wellness, and social accountablity. 
A pharmacist–executive-academician with over four decades of higher education and healthcare leadership experience in the United States, the latter in executive roles at Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Cheung is recognized for his commitment to institutional innovation, operational excellence, and the responsible integration of emerging technologies in education. His leadership emphasizes student success, faculty development, and the alignment of mission-driven growth with community impact.
