As vice president for finance and administration at UB, Hubbard’s responsibilities include oversight of strategic financial planning and analysis of resource use and development. She provides leadership and oversight for UB resource planning, business services, internal audit, real estate, policy and internal controls, human resources, university police, parking and transportation, emergency management, sustainability, and facilities units.
With more than 30 years of experience in higher education administration, Hubbard has been a thought leader and speaker on a variety of topics including strategic and resource planning; organizational transformation; change leadership; real estate and facilities development; sustainability; and professional development of business officers. She has also served as an accreditation evaluator for the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) and for the New England Commission on Higher Education (NECHE).
She currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO). Laura previously served as the Chair of the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO) and on its Board of Directors.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and an MBA from the University of Idaho.
