The Benefits of Reflection in Academic Program Assessment: Some Examples from the Humanities at the University of San Francisco
Description

This presentation will examine the practice of offering faculty support and opportunities for reflection in academic program assessment. The presentation will discuss ways in which programs in the arts and humanities at the University of San Francisco have engaged in reflection both to improve assessment practice and to implement meaningful program changes. Without such opportunities to reflect, faculty may face challenges in using assessment as a means toward continuous improvement of curriculum and pedagogy.
