The Pacific Oaks College Taskforce created an inclusive learning environment course based on Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Changing the environment rather than situate problems perceived as deficits for student learners equals positive growth. When environments are designed to reduce barriers, neurodiverse learners engage in meaningful dialogue. Aligned with the college’s mission and core values, the UDL course will not only enhance the curriculum but also contribute to the overall success and retention of students.
