This presentation introduces novel ways of using CIP CODES beyond program classification to promote faculty pertinence and alignment with the institutional mission. UPAEP is exploring the use of CIP codes not only for program classification, but for faculty credentials, subjects, active methodologies, and essential learning outcomes assessment.  Although implementing a new approach requires change adoption, this new way of working promotes an enhanced and sounder analysis and reflection about academic quality and programs' pertinence.
