Educational developers and centers for teaching and learning (CTLs) play a crucial role in putting institutional mission into action through daily collaboration with faculty, staff, and campus leaders. Working at the intersection of pedagogy, assessment, institutional effectiveness, and student success, educational developers help translate mission into meaningful impact for students.
This session, sponsored by the POD Network for Higher Education, will explore how CTLs are advancing mission-driven innovation and continuous improvement across diverse institutions. We will share examples of how educational developers are strengthening institutional data cultures; partnering across divisions to foster student engagement, personal growth, course completion, and progression; and guiding the thoughtful integration of emerging technologies—including AI—in alignment with institutional mission and values, all while setting sights on postgraduate achievement.
Participants will engage in facilitated discussion about how educational developers and the POD Network can ensure success for all students in times of rapid change by curating effective practices and strategies and connecting practitioners across institutions.
