Gary Brahm is the founding Chancellor of Brandman University. He initiated the June 1, 2021 transaction that resulted Brandman University becoming the University of Massachusetts Global, a California non-profit affiliate of the University of Massachusetts. The Change of Control Agreement provided compensation of $140,000,000 to Chapman University. In 2007 Chancellor Brahm lead the transition of Chapman’s University College to become Brandman University, an independent, non-profit, regionally accredited institution.  From 2007 to 2022 Brandman grew total revenue from $55 million to $143 million. The institution developed and enhanced 57 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees taught on campus, online and through competency-based education while earning professional accreditations from CTC, NCATE, CCNE and CSWE. The 2022 budget exceeded $130 million and included more than 2,500 faculty and 25,000 students. Prior to launching Brandman University, Chancellor Brahm served for over 13 years as the EVP for Finance and Administration and COO for Chapman University.  Before joining Chapman in 1994 Brahm was VP for Finance and CFO for National University. Chancellor Brahm has served as chair or a member of numerous WSCUC accreditation visiting teams and has completed a three-year term as a member of the WSCUC Interim Report Committee.
