Dr. Beth Martin was appointed President of Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) in September 2021, bringing a deep connection to the university. She previously served at NDNU as a faculty member and program director in the Department of Counseling Psychology (1996-2001) and as the founding Dean of the School of Sciences (2001-2006). Before returning to NDNU, Dr. Martin served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost at Holy Names University (2006-2018). She also served as Interim Provost and Senior Vice President at Gonzaga University for one year. Dr. Martin earned her AB in Psychology from Brown University and her MA and PhD in Physiological and Developmental Psychology from Stanford University. A licensed psychologist in California, she combines academic expertise with a commitment to student success and institutional growth.
