Chris Russo is the Chief of Staff for National University, one of the largest private, nonprofit universities in the United States. NU is designated as a Minority-Serving Institution (MSI) and a Hispanic-serving institution (HSI) and has a 50+ year history of innovating around the needs of military, working, and other nontraditional students.

Prior to this role, Chris served as Transformation Officer and Vice Chancellor of Strategy for National University System (NUS), where he led several enterprise-wide initiatives, including the merger of National University and Northcentral University. Before joining NUS, he established and led strategic programs at Learn@Forbes, Ashford University, and University of the Rockies. Chris’ diverse experience includes leadership roles at Sony, Motorola, and Panasonic.

Chris has been awarded nine patents, maintains a PMP certification, and serves on multiple non-profit boards that support positive changes in the community.
