Bio
Zabrina W. Epps earned a PhD in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University and serves on the Board of Trustees as the governance committee chair. She earned a  Masters in Public Policy, with a focus on financial management, policy, and budget analysis from University of Maryland. 
Her research and practice explores the significance of integrating futures thinking and strategic foresight within education systems. She coaches university faculty and administrators by employing foresight tools and systems thinking to enable her clients to broaden their approaches to decision making, problem solving, and envisioning possible futures.
Dr. Epps’ research and writings have been published in The Journal of Futures Studies, Human Futures Magazine, COMPASS magazine, and the 3rd edition reader on Causal Layered Analysis (CLA 3.0). She has presented at the International Leadership Association conference in Geneva, Switzerland and at the World Futures Studies Federation’s (WFSF) 50th Anniversary Conference in Paris, France.
Zabrina has more than 15 years experience as an advisor, instructor, and facilitator. She has been a professional coach for five years and recently launched Epps Foresight Advisory, LLC. to expand her research and practice of leadership coaching and advising. For more than a decade she has held elected and appointed positions on several boards of K-12 and higher education institutions. In addition, Dr. Epps serves on the board of Teach the Future.org and was recently elected as the founding chairperson of The Transnormal Institute. 
Dr. Epps is an emerging fellow with the Association of Professional Futurists, a fellow of the Institute for Social Innovation (ISI) and an alumni fellow of the Marie Fielder Center for Democracy, Leadership, and Education. Her mission is to provide education system leaders and policymakers with opportunities to envision and co-create alternative, emancipated futures for teaching and learning.
