The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has led to discussions around the potential for AI to take over various roles traditionally held by humans. One of the most controversial areas is the possibility of the AI replacing the human executive. This poster aims to explore the perceptions of current executives regarding the feasibility and practical considerations of scenarios where human executives are augmented, partially, and/or fully replaced by AI. It will present connections for AI and human executive leadership replacement theory to higher education governance and its impact on higher education accreditation.
