Nursing schools continuously adhere to standards set by accrediting bodies such as the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). This involves regular self-assessments, curriculum updates, and evaluations to meet quality standards. One of greatest challenges in Nursing Education is quantifying learning and connecting material to future licensure exams, such as the NCLEX for Registered Nurses. To meet this challenge, we must create opportunities for students to engage with and connect NCLEX style questions related to simulated "real-world" patient cases in our simulation lab. At American University of Health Sciences (AUHS), we are implementing NCLEX style questions with simulation activities, which has led to student success. Our school's NCLEX pass rates are trending up, and student sentiment indicates that simulation integration and NCLEX review are playing an important role in our student's success. This "Accreditation in Action" for our nursing students goes beyond the initial accreditation process and involves ongoing efforts to improve nursing education, clinical practice, and patient outcomes.
