In the rapidly evolving landscape of higher education, artificial intelligence (AI) presents both challenges and opportunities. This WSCUC Commons session examines the ethical and practical applications of artificial intelligence in higher education through playing the interactive Go Somewhere card game, an interactive tool that blends structured reflection with group collaboration. The game facilitates learning through three rounds, where attendees will:
1. Explore AI Metaphors: Identify various metaphors used to explain AI, including functional, critical, and rhetorical lenses.
2. Identify Values: Reflect on and identify the values that guide their personal and professional decisions.
3. Develop Action Plans: Create action steps that align with both the values identified and the AI metaphors discussed.
This session emphasizes collaboration, reflection, and engagement, encouraging participants to reimagine the role of AI in their practices.
The WSCUC Commons are community-driven, collaborative, and interactive sessions that aren’t your typical concurrent. While there is no participant fee for WSCUC Commons sessions, registration is required as space is limited.
