LEAD California builds the collective commitment and capacity of colleges, universities and communities to advance civic and community engagement for a healthy, just and democratic society. LEAD California will facilitate a conversation between 3 college presidents (representing two public colleges and one private college) demonstrating how campus leadership must uphold and honor the longstanding compact between higher education and the public good. Anchor Initiatives, Ashoka Changemaker Campuses, Community-Based Action Research, and Carnegie Elective Classifications will be described and elaborated on. There will be a facilitated Q&A period following a 30-40 minute panel discussion.
