Name
Education for Critical Citizenship: CoCuLo Development and Implementation in a Private, Urban Institution
Description

The foundation of this presentation is the survival and evolution of essential skills and knowledges, such as critical thinking and information literacy, in higher education during an educational era of hyperfocus on degree completion and job placement, as opposed to learning and transformation. California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) librarian Michael Nicoloff and professor Sara Salazar share their work to co-create Co-Curricular Learning Outcomes focused on information literacy and student learning. They will also offer materials, data, and reflections on their collaboration on a year-long series of embedded class workshops and presentations for students to measure information literacy and growth.
