Shifting the Assessment Paradigm from Compliance to Student-Centered Learning

In this session, presenters will share opportunities to leverage existing systems and infuse Universal Design into faculty development training in order to shift the assessment paradigm from compliance to student-centered learning. This presentation will highlight the maturing of Biola University's approach to assessment and faculty development through a case study spanning multiple years. Practical steps will be discussed including how to foster a culture of improvement, use peer feedback, and faculty training to ultimately achieve authentic assessment and effective curriculum changes for student success.
