Data continue to be essential in informing our practices, but uncoordinated, duplicated, or inappropriate approaches to collecting and using data (including survey data) are common barriers to leveraging the best data to support practices. At CSUF, we developed and implemented Data Governance Guidelines and an accompanying Survey Approval Process to alleviate those barriers by establishing a streamlined approach for data and survey requests to improve data collection, generation, and distribution. This session will detail CSUF’s Data Governance and Survey Approval Process and discuss best practices and lessons learned.
