Name
Developing a Student-Centric Stackable Degree Program
Description

Stackable degrees have grown in popularity in recent years, but implementation can be challenging, especially at a large public institution.  Stackable degrees are curriculum in which certificates are “stacked” toward completion of a degree, which can offer new, flexible opportunities for students.  However, this can be a complex model for an institution with traditional degree options and can complicate some of the key components of how to market and recruit for this kind of program, creating budgets and tuition models, monitoring and tracking students, advising and supporting students, and reporting outcomes.  This session will cover one institution’s team approach through the development of two program using a stackable curriculum model.
