Vivian A. Sanchez serves as Chancellor of the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Having worked in public research universities in the United States and private institutions in nine countries, Sanchez brings extensive knowledge and comprehensive global insights to higher education for both campus-based and digital learning.
She has guided institutions to achieving national recognition, obtaining critical accreditations, attracting world-class faculty and implementing innovative technology solutions for academic instruction and student support. Through affiliations with top-ranked universities and her strong industry connections, Sanchez has implemented student-centered approaches designed to prepare students for successful careers.
Prior to joining the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2016, Sanchez served in various executive leadership roles, including as Chief Executive Officer of a global network of specialized and comprehensive universities that included schools of medicine, dentistry and health sciences, which ranked among the largest and most well-reputed in their regions. She has also held numerous higher education Board of Director positions and served as advisor to both public and private universities.
Sanchez graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service and earned her Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
