Carla Murtaugh Strickland-Hughes is the Faculty Fellow of Assessment and an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of the Pacific (Pacific) in Stockton, California. She earned her MS and PhD in Psychology from the University of Florida. Carla’s primary assessment responsibilities include Chairing the University Assessment Committee and leading the university-wide assessment of undergraduate core competencies. In partnership with the Director of Academic Assessment, she mentors students completing qualitative inquiries into student experiences with core competencies and hosts a variety of events to promote an equity-centered culture of assessment at Pacific.
