Dr. Melea Fields is currently the Associate Vice President for Accreditation/ALO, Licensure, and State Authorizations at The Chicago School, where she oversees strategic initiatives related to accreditation, licensure, and regulatory compliance. With a distinguished career spanning various leadership roles in higher education, Dr. Fields has served as Dean of Academic Affairs, Dean of Professional Studies, and Dean of Supported & Institutional Research prior to her tenure at The Chicago School. Notably, she also held the position of Chair of the Health Education Department at Cerritos County College, where she demonstrated adept leadership in curriculum development and program administration. Throughout her career, Dr. Fields has been instrumental in spearheading numerous successful accreditation initiatives, underscoring her expertise in accreditation processes and standards compliance.

Drawing upon her multifaceted background, Dr. Fields brings extensive experience in accreditation, institutional research, program development, curriculum design, student achievement, leadership, and financial management to her current role. Her journey in higher education began as a Physical Education coach, evolving into teaching and administrative roles, where she honed her skills and expertise across various domains. Dr. Fields holds an Educational Doctorate and master's degrees in education from Azusa Pacific University, underscoring her commitment to lifelong learning and academic excellence. She also earned her undergraduate degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from California State University, Long Beach, reflecting her diverse academic interests and breadth of knowledge.
