Nicholas McConnell is the Director of Academic Assessment at University of the Pacific. He earned his PhD in astrophysics at UC Berkeley and has held a variety of teaching, research, and administrative roles amounting to 20 years in higher education. Nicholas supports assessment in Pacific's undergraduate core competencies as well as program-level learning outcomes for undergraduate and graduate programs. He works with students, staff, and faculty to build assessment approaches that are equity-minded, informed by student experience, contextual, and aligned with academic programs' needs.
