Bio

Dr. Bree Cook (formerly Davis) began her appointment as Vice President and CAO in May 2018 at Pacific Oaks College. In this role she oversees multiple schools, the general education program and the Center for Excellence. She also serves as the ALO overseeing the WSCUC communications and submissions and supporting programmatic level accreditations. In addition, starting in June 2022, Dr. Cook became the Interim Dean of the newly developed School of Global Leadership & Management which houses the Bachelor in Science in Business Administration (BSBA) and Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership & Management MAOLM programs. In her previous positions she served as associate dean of POC's School of Cultural & Family Psychology (SCFP), Academic positions held during her 11 year tenure at PO include Associate Professor, Clinical Training Coordinator, Affiliate Faculty and Program Coordinator.

Dr. Cook holds a doctorate and master degrees in Clinical Psychology with a emphasis in Multicultural & Community Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. She holds a certification Family Life Educator (CFLE). In recent time Dr. Cook's professional development has included completion of WASC Senior College and University Commission Assessment Leadership Academy (2018-2019) and Harvard University's Graduate School of Education's Institute of Educational Management (2019).

Dr. Cook is a visionary and relational leader. She is passionate about many topics, including: cultured-centered, culturally relevant & responsive education, advocacy, and program development; Black/African American children & families; Reducing Mental Health/Mental Illness stigma in communities of color; and leadership in higher education.
