My interest in the special education field began after completing my undergrad program and getting a job as an paraprofessional through IRL Westmoreland Academy. I initially planned on teaching in higher education, but after gaining new experience with students in special education, I found myself much more passionate about working in this community and changed my direction. I am currently an Intern teacher and completing my credential as an Education Specialist with graduation ahead in May 2023.
I got my B.A. in American Lit and Culture with a minor in History from UCLA and got my AA from LACC. I was also an aircraft mechanic in the USAF. I have had many jobs throughout the years but none of them have been as fulfilling as the work I do in special education.
I like to travel with my wife and experience new cultures and environments. I also really enjoy hiking and camping.
