It’s tempting – and sometimes necessary – to wait until the accreditation self-study is due to start the data-gathering process. As institutions navigate new standards, it provides a unique opportunity to reflect on how the institution gathers data during accreditation events and in the years in between. Starting early with data discovery and documentation not only alleviates stress, it provides for early learnings and a better reflective report. In this session, you will learn how to plan ahead to make the accreditation process easier, particularly as new standards may redefine or invigorate traditional ways of gathering evidence. This session is designed to both consider and invite good practices for data management in preparation for accreditation events. Annual audits, data committees, and “data champions” are a few of the practices that will be discussed in greater detail.
