Social Engagement and Well-Being in College Students
Description

Despite the digital hyperconnectivity of college students, social isolation has increased by 6.7% since the pandemic’s onset. Social support and engagement are protective factors that support well-being during this stressful time. This study aimed to correlate specific aspects of support (emotional, instrumental, social support figures) to students’ well-being. From our data, we discovered that now only do students struggle with their well-being, but this can largely be attributed to a lack of quality social interactions.
