Generative AI caused panic within the education sector when ChatGPT-3.5 was released; surely such powerful technology would disrupt our traditional way of teaching, learning, and assessing. Panic quickly turned into curiosity as we began to wonder - If it is so easy for ChatGPT to do our assignments and answer our test questions, maybe they are the wrong assignments and questions to begin with? How might GenAI improve institutional and student success? In this presentation, we will explore the possibilities and promises of GenAI to positively disrupt traditional ways of teaching, learning, assessment (and accreditation) that no longer serve our institutions, our students, or society.
